ArtsBridge Senior Housing, 1450 Plimpton Avenue

ArtsBridge Senior Housing is a seven-story, 78,400-square-foot masonry building housing 62 affordable senior apartments along with 21,400-square-foot of community facility space. Financing was provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the HUD 202 program. The space houses several nonprofit organizations that embrace a holistic approach to building communities and empowering residents—a philosophy adopted by project developer, Highbridge Community Development Corporation. Amenities include a large community room, library, and computer facilities on the building’s seventh floor. Construction was completed in 2018.

Excelsior II, 120 W. 69th Street

120-126 West 169th Street is a 9 story, 60-unit affordable family apartment building developed by HCDC. Excelsior II features community rooms, roof decks and outdoor garden areas as well as onsite parking for 18 cars. The building façade consists of multi-color brick and metal panels, which complement the surrounding neighborhood both in color and scale. The parking is under the building and in the rear, accessed by a driveway that goes under the building. The project is connected to and integrated into an existing HCDC building. The development targets low-income and very-low-income NYC renters, with 15% of the units reserved for households which include someone who is physically disabled. Construction was completed in 2017.
